My husband and I love going because there are plenty of things to do at Disney for adults. This is why I’ve put together a list of over 21 romantic things to do at Disney.

When you think of Disney World the first thing that comes to mind is probably not romance, right? Well, you’d be wrong! A trip to Disney World is not only about crowded theme parks and screaming kids (no judgment). In fact, Disney World is the perfect place for a romantic getaway even if Mickey Mouse isn’t normally your thing.
There are so many romantic things to do in Disney World so whether you’re planning a honeymoon, anniversary celebration, or a romantic getaway, we’ve compiled a list that will make your trip truly enchanting, magical and memories that will last a lifetime.

Topolino’s Terrace is located at Disney’s Riviera Resort which is already a romantic setting. The restaurant is at the top of the resort with breathtaking views and an amazing food and cocktail menu.
The Dining Room at Victoria and Albert’s is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and should be reserved for a special occasion. It’s a kid’s free environment and the dress code is semi-formal/formal attire.
Takumi-Tei is a hidden gem nestled in the Japan Pavilion at EPCOT and offers two tasting menus served in 5 elegant rooms. It’s the perfect romantic setting.
Narcoossee’s is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian with water views and is perfect if you’re in the mood for seafood.
Steakhouse 71 is located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a more casual setting and steakhouse ambiance.
Citricos is at Disney’s Grand Floridian right next to Victoria and Albert’s but has a more casual yet elegant atmosphere. It has the feel of a refined restaurant in London and is Mary Poppins-inspired inspired.
California Grill is located on the rooftop of Disney’s Contemporary Resort and has amazing views of the Seven Seas Lagoon. It’s an elegant setting and really great food and drinks.
Flying Fish is located on Disney’s BoardWalk and is a favorite for its sophisticated ambiance while you enjoy a selection of steak and seafood dishes.

Enjoy Cocktails at Specialty Bars
One of my favorite pastimes is Happy Hour, and when it comes to finding the perfect spot for a cocktail, Disney World exceeds expectations with its selection of unique and romantic specialty bars.
Whether you’re seeking a cozy atmosphere, breathtaking views, or expertly crafted drinks, Disney World offers a variety of options to satisfy every cocktail enthusiast. They all have tasty food and snacks too!
Enchanted Rose is inspired by Beauty and the Beast and is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian. It has beautiful views of the water and an amazing selection of cocktails.
Nomad Lounge is nestled in Disney’s Animal Kingdom near Pandora. It’s a hidden gem that offers a nice escape from the park with a unique selection of cocktails and bites.
Bar Riva is at Disney’s Riviera Resort and offers a picturesque waterfront location with views of the resort’s pool and surrounding area. It’s Mediterranean-inspired and the perfect spot to enjoy an Aperol spritz and light fare.
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort immerses you in a tropical paradise with its lively atmosphere and tiki-inspired decor.
AbracadaBar is tucked away on Disney’s BoardWalk and combines the elegance of a vintage magician’s lounge with a touch of mystery. The atmospheric setting, complete with magical decor and specialty cocktails, creates a charming and intimate atmosphere for a romantic evening.
Visit Disney Springs
Disney Spring is the ultimate date night destination and definitely has so many romantic things to do at Disney. If you’re a fan of Indiana Jones, start your evening at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar with a whimsical aviation-themed lounge with cozy seating and fun cocktails. For dinner, one of my favorites is Morimoto Asia, where you can savor exquisite Pan-Asian cuisine in a stylish and sophisticated setting.
I also love Paddlefish for fresh seafood and amazing views of the waterfront. I would also recommend stopping at Wine Bar George which features an extensive selection of wines paired with yummy bites. There are seriously so many great places for a romantic night out at Disney Springs so you really can’t go wrong.
Take a romantic stroll on Disney’s BoardWalk
I feel like people think that Disney’s BoardWalk is only a resort, but it’s actually so much more than that. It’s a lively BoardWalk that offers a mix of dining and entertainment options, making it an ideal place for a romantic night out.
It’s also perfect for a leisurely stroll to grab a slice at the Pizza Window and a scoop of ice cream from BoardWalk Ice Cream. You may even stumble upon live street performances, from musicians to jugglers.
Watch a Movie under the Stars
If you’re looking for a quiet and cozy date night the Disney Resorts usually offer complimentary screenings of beloved Disney films for guests. It’s the perfect way to relax and unwind as you enjoy the silver screen magic.
Explore the World Showcase
EPCOT’s World Showcase takes you on a journey around the globe. Romantic spots include a stop in the France pavilion, where you can enjoy a glass of fine wine, cocktails, french food, and pastries.
Visit the romantic streets of the Italy pavilion and enjoy a leisurely dinner at Tutto Italia Ristorante, accompanied by a bottle of Italian wine. Disney World has some enchanting resorts making it the perfect place for a romantic getaway. Some of my favorites include Port Orleans Riverside with a charming Southern-inspired atmosphere, and its piano bar which makes for a fun evening of live music and cocktails.
Disney’s Riviera Resort is my favorite and is inspired by the French Riviera offering elegance and sophistication with its stunning architecture and panoramic views. The Grand Floridian is another favorite with its timeless beauty and Victorian-inspired design.
Disney’s BoardWalk captures the essence of a seaside boardwalk with romantic dining and entertainment. Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a unique experience with its breathtaking savanna views. The Polynesian will immerse you in a tropical paradise, complete with lush surroundings.
If you want to visit without staying at the resort, make a dining reservation or take complimentary transportation like the Disney bus system, Monorail, or Skyliner. You don’t have to be staying at the resort to enjoy the restaurants and bars.

One of the simplest is the complimentary celebration buttons, including the “Happy Anniversary” buttons, which you can request upon arrival.

Disney World offers special accommodations and services for couples celebrating their honeymoon, making it an even more enchanting experience. You can start by requesting complimentary “Happily Ever After” or “Just Married” buttons upon arrival.

Are there any specific locations or spots within the parks that are known for their romantic ambiance? Yes! I would recommend the area around Cinderella’s Castle and Be Our Guest restaurant area in Magic Kingdom, The France Pavillion and the Tea Garden in the United Kingdom at EPCOT, Around the Tree of Life and Pandora – The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom, Baseline Taphouse and Echo Lake at Hollywood Studios.
How far in advance should I make dining reservations or book experiences for my anniversary celebration? In general, you’re usually not able to book dining or other experiences until 60 days out. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort then you’re able to start booking 60 days out from your arrival for the entire length of your stay.
Are there any recommended times of the year to visit Disney World for a more romantic and less crowded experience? Yes, you’ll want to visit Disney World when school is in session and not during major holidays. The weekdays are generally less crowded and make for a more quiet and intimate experience.
Are there any special shows or performances that are particularly romantic and suitable for an anniversary celebration? Yes! You’ll want to check out the enchanted extras, but any of the fireworks dining and dessert party experiences as well as the boat fireworks viewing experiences would be perfect for an anniversary celebration.
